Social Policy and Economic Perspective in Iraq

 

The project is implemented by Rwanga Foundation in partnership with ILO (International Labor Organization), to bring together different stakeholders, entities, and decision makers to discuss ‘’Implementation of retirement and social security law, its inclusion and increasing inclusion area’’ which is mainly to include all different sectors and informal workers in social security system. During the roundtable meetings, topics will be discussed about various sectors and informal workers who are not registered in social security system yet. Challenges and best ways to be encountered will be focused on. Besides, the designated participants will make suggestions and recommendations to achieve the deliverable goal. Meanwhile, the ILO will share and discuss the proposed recommendations and suggestions with certain governmental authorities.

 

Five sessions will be conducted about social security and increasing the inclusion area, along with five roundtables in each of the governorate (Erbil, Duhok, Sulaimani, Halabja and Kirkuk).

 

The outcomes of the project:

  •  Preparing a report per each roundtable in each governorate (Erbil, Duhok, Sulaimani, Halabja and Kirkuk).
  •  Preparing a comprehensive report as outcome of the sessions, published, or/and handed to ILO.
