A Graduation Ceremony was Held for 'WeCode' Participants

Erbil, KRI (March 15,2022), Rwanga Foundation held a graduation ceremony for the participants of the three Bootcamps that were conducted remotely all over KRI for 105 youths aged 18-35 as part of the WeCode project. Certificates of completion were presented to the project's participants during the ceremony.


 The goal of this training bootcamp was to assist young people in developing their technical coding skills alongside their soft skills to prepare them for a career in software development in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.


 The ceremony was attended by Tech company representatives with the aim of creating a linking bridge between them and the participants.


Following that, the participants who have successfully completed the WeCode Bootcamp earned a certificate of completion. A total of 105 graduates (67 men and 38 women) from the four governorates of Erbil, Sulaimani, Duhok, and Halabja completed the trainings and received full knowledge about designing (UXUI, Mobile Application, and Front-End).


 It's worth mentioning that some of these young people have already obtained valuable expertise in the sector, allowing them to find jobs and are currently employed.

 At the end of the ceremony, a coding competition was conducted to test their technical coding skills. And the two top competition's winners were recognized and were awarded.

 

WeCode is an intensive training Bootcamp project implemented by Rwanga Foundation to remotely train youth aged between (18-35) in KRI with software development skills and provide adequate technical and soft skills so that they qualify to land their first job as junior software developers.
