Empowering Targeted Beneficiaries through Agricultural Technical Trainings for Agricultural Productivity and Livestock Farming

 

The project will be implemented by Rwanga Foundation in Sulaimani and Halabja governorates to enhance the socio-economic conditions of 80 small-scale farmers through the Horticulture, dairy, and poultry farming program - technical training

 

The project contributes to increasing the income of targeted beneficiaries through agricultural technical training that leads to higher productivity and catalyzes the market improvement of agricultural products. The project's component is to support the development and implementation of agricultural training to increase agricultural productivity and improve Livestock farming at the targeted locations.

 

Goal: Foster resilient communities and rural economic recovery through the capacity building of selected individuals.

 

Specific Objectives

-          Objective 1: to raise the technical capacity of 80 beneficiaries, with the inclusion of female participants.

-          Objective 2: to train small-scale farmers on challenges and risks associated with the current agricultural system and Livestock farming.

-          Objective 3: to provide solutions for mitigating risks and adapting to changed climatic and economic conditions.

-          Objective 4: to understand local market conditions and how to improve livelihood opportunities by establishing a farmers’ support network and increasing local productivity.

Target Location(s): Sulaymaniyah and Halabja Governorates

Target Beneficiaries:  80% Male and 20% Female, 18-30 years old, Farmers, 25% of them are IDPs, or Refugee farmers
