How to Cope with Drought Training in Halabja
Rwanga Foundation a 5-day training about ‘How to cope with drought’ for 15 farmers in Halabja Governorate to help them in finding new mechanisms for reducing the side effects of drought. The training covered the topics of (Introduction about agriculture, Drought years and reduce the impact of it, modern irrigation system and saving water, sickness during drought years and how to deal with them, fertilizer strategies for dry weather).
The main aim of the training was to strengthen the capacity of the participants for anticipating the impact of drought and reducing its side effects on their products through enhancing knowledge and skills for drought risk reduction practices.
The 5-day training was delivered to 15 persons (11 male, 4 female).
